Project Haiti - Home

The medical students at UTHSCSA formed a chapter for Project Medishare to assist in this mission through student-organized medical trips. Ruth Berggren, their faculty adviser, and nine MSI and MSII students traveled to Thomonde, Haiti in December 2008 for the first UTHSCSA Haiti mobile clinic trip. In four days of clinics, the students and physicians screened over 600 patients, including 10 with acute limb or life-threatening illnesses.
